Pakistan has rejected a leaked Nato report that says it's secretly helping the Taliban in Afghanistan. Hina Rabbani Khar, Pakistan's foreign minister, says the claims should be ignored. Khar is in Kabul, where she has been meeting Afghan leaders for high level reconciliation talks and to end what she calls the blame game between the countries. Spokesperson for Jamat-ud-Dawa, a member of the Defense of Pakistan Council Yahya Mujahid told the Express Tribune that Malik Ishaq was present on stage at the Defense of Pakistan Council rally in Multan. Mujahid contradicted General (retd) Hamid Gul's statement in a television interview where he he denied Ishaq's presence at the Multan rally.

Pakistan's government is being criticised for not doing enough to control the country's pharmaceutical industry. A hundred people have died, and 400 others are in hospital, after taking contaminated heart medicine. Pakistan has a number of domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers, making generic versions of drugs and selling them at prices that are more affordable than their overseas counterparts. While they are supposed to be regulated by the government, a recent devolution of the health ministries to the provincial level has meant that most are not monitored at all. Al Jazeera's Imtiaz Tyab reports from Lahore, Pakistan.

Pakistan flood victims still in camps

Nearly six month since devastating floods destroyed tens of thousands of acres of land in Pakistan's Sindh area, thousands of farmers have been unable to return to their lands and are still living in relief camps. Millions of dollars in aid was pledged to help, but a UK-based charity organisation said it was not satisfied with relief efforts made by the international community. Al Jazeera's Kamal Hyder reports from Sindh.

A NATO air strike on an army checkpoint in northwest Pakistan has killed up to 25 soldiers, according to the country's military officials. Islamabad has now blocked the alliance's vital supply lines into Afghanistan in response. The incident threatens to put more pressure on relations between Pakistan and the military alliance, already strained by continued US drone attacks. Al Jazeera has managed to track down one of the leaders of the Pakistani Taliban hiding in Afghanistan's Hindu Kush mountains. Faqir Mohammad told Al Jazeera that his men are waiting to see what the Pakistani government will do before agreeing to peace talks. The conversation though, seems to confirm that the group has splintered and no longer has a unified chain of command. Al Jazeera's Kamal Hyder has this exclusive report.
