Actually Whitney is? my favorite singer and I have to correct you, even Whitney has lipsynced live. Doing it doesn't mean the artist can't sing, there are other reasons. Sometimes an artist is sick, but they don't want to cancel. Sometimes a venue just doesn't have the necessary equipment. In the case of the superbowl for example, singers are encouraged to pre-record their version and lipsync to it to prevent mistakes live, in a nationally televised event(Aguilera's 2011 disaster, anyone?)
